Work at home jobs, home based jobs, telecommuting jobs, or just jobs are performed for a salary, wage or compensation for what you do. A home based business is totally different.
When you have a business, you do not work for a wage, you work for a profit and it involves work, not an assignment or job; you are your own boss.
In the case of a home based job or any job, you usually have a boss or contractor to respond to.
Do not exchange those terms, because they are not the same.
